Most creators and business owners fall into the same trap: they think because something is hard, it must be complicated. They believe success requires some ridiculously detailed blueprint, so they pile on the steps, strategies, and tools until they’re drowning.

Here’s the truth: complexity doesn’t create success—it kills it.

I learned this the hard way. I used to have an insane 15-step content plan. It was so over the top that just thinking about it made me tired. I wasn’t creating. I was micromanaging myself into oblivion.

Then I simplified everything. I went from 15 steps to 5. And guess what? I started producing more content than ever before, and I actually enjoyed the process.

Today, I’m giving you the same gift: a simple, no-BS framework to help you create content, build your personal brand, and make money doing what you love. It’s called the C.R.A.F.T. framework.

Let’s break it down.

C.R.A.F.T. Framework

C: Collect

Your output is only as good as your input. If you’re not consuming diverse, high-quality content, your creative well will run dry.

This step is about feeding your brain with inspiration. Read books, listen to podcasts, watch videos, scroll through content in your niche—or even outside of it. The goal isn’t to copy; it’s to soak up ideas and perspectives that fuel your own creativity.

Think of it like gathering ingredients before cooking. You can’t make a great dish if your fridge is empty.

R: Reflect

Consuming isn’t enough—you need to engage with what you’ve learned. Write down your thoughts, comment on posts, or discuss ideas with others.

Here’s why this matters:

It forces you to act. Reflection helps you process and internalize what you’ve learned, turning passive consumption into active growth.

It builds relationships. When you comment thoughtfully or share your insights, people notice. This is networking, baked right into the process.

A: Adapt

Here’s the fun part: take those ideas and make them your own.

I’m a big fa of brain dumping—just writing down everything I think about a topic without worrying if it’s good. This step isn’t about perfection; it’s about finding your voice and perspective.

Think of this as remixing. You’re not copying someone else’s song; you’re taking the melody and turning it into something completely new.

F: Format

Now it’s time to share.

That comment you wrote? Turn it into a tweet. Expand it into a blog post. Record a TikTok video. One idea can be repurposed into a dozen pieces of content.

The best part? You don’t need to be a genius with a hundred ideas. You just need one solid idea, shared a hundred different ways.

T: Test

The final step is simple: put your content out there and see what works.

Pay attention to what people engage with. If something resonates, lean into it. If something flops, ask yourself why. Testing isn’t about failure; it’s about learning and refining.

Think of this like a scientist in a lab. You’re running experiments, collecting data, and improving over time.

Your New Content Strategy: Make Shit, Share Shit

That’s it. No 15-step plans. No overwhelming systems. Just two steps: make something, then share it.

Above my desk, I have a sticky note that says, “Make Shit, Share Shit.” It’s my reminder to keep things simple and focus on action.

So, stop overthinking. Start creating. Use the C.R.A.F.T. framework and see how much easier—and more fun—content creation can be.
